Feature Release: New Episode of Care Design and Function

Updated as of November 17, 2022

Based on user input, we have launched a redesign of Episodes of Care within a patient’s profile.

Previously, in order to view additional Episodes of Care within a patient’s profile, users had to click on a down caret (down_caret.png) next to the title of the currently displayed Episode of Care (see image below).

With the redesign released today, users can now see the titles of all of a patient’s Episodes of Care as tabs in the patient profile, as displayed in the image below.

The text of the title of the currently displayed Episode of Care will be teal with a pink line, and the text of the titles of any Episodes of Care that are not being displayed will be in black.  Users can view a different Episode of Care by clicking on the title of the desired Episode of Care.

In the case of a patient with multiple EOCs, the most recently added EOC will be displayed on the left.

If there is an external ID present on the EOC, it will display at the start of the title on the tab. If there are multiple external IDS, only the first one listed will show up in the title.

New Buttons

In addition to adding the Episode of Care titles as tabs, two new buttons have been added to the patient profile. The buttons will appear below the EOC tabs, as highlighted in the image below.

Previously, users could add a new Episode of Care by clicking on the down caret next to the EOC title. Now, users can add a new EOC by clicking on the Add Episode of Care button. Additionally, the Messages tab was removed in order to allow the display of EOC tabs. Now, messages with the patient can be viewed by clicking on the Messages button.
